TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE

Orders may be placed online, by phone (1-800-593-6095), fax (1-800-544-3314), email (support@contractorstools.com), or by US Mail. All major credit cards are accepted. We also accept money orders, business checks, wire transfers, and letters of credit. For personal checks, please allow a minimum of 10-15 business days for processing. Open accounts are available to qualified businesses with a D&B number. All prices are exclusive of shipping and handling unless otherwise indicated. IL residents will be assessed 9.00% sales tax. Free shipping applies only to orders that ship UPS Ground and are pre-paid.

Prices and merchandise are subject to change without notice. B.J. Esberner & Associates, Inc. is not responsible for typographical or photographical errors.

RETURN/WARRANTY POLICY
We strongly recommend that all merchandise be inspected at time of delivery**. If there is visible damage, please refuse the shipment and contact our customer service as soon as possible. Further, we also strongly recommend that all customers fully inspect merchandise within 24 hours of delivery. If there are any problems with your order, please contact our customer service as soon as possible. Any warranty issues or defective merchandise are covered by the respective manufacturer.

The original purchaser has a period of 30 days*** from date of delivery to return any purchase for a full refund, less shipping and handling, provided the merchandise is in new, resalable condition and returned in the original, undamaged packaging. No used merchandise will be accepted. Unless the merchandise is shipped in error, customer is responsible for outgoing freight as well as return freight. The cost of the shipping will be deducted from the credit, which the customer is entitled to upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s). Acceptance of merchandise is final only after inspection. All warranty books, instructions manuals, parts and accessories must be included as well as the original box in which the item was shipped. To protect the original factory carton from any additional shipping damage, please place it inside another carton for return shipping.

All returns require a "RGA" - Returned Goods Authorization. In some cases, returns may require a re-stock fee as imposed by the manufacturer. Please contact our customer service staff for return information before sending any packages.

** For common carrier deliveries, we recommend that the merchandise be inspected BEFORE providing signature of acceptance. As a safeguard, we also strongly recommend that signature be “subject to inspection.” This way, if there is concealed damage that is not visible at the time of delivery, it allows for stronger recourse with the respective freight company. If there is any apparent damage, please report the delivery as damaged and refuse shipment.

***Laser Levels and Optical Instruments must be authorized for return within 3 days of receipt of merchandise. Any returns of Laser Levels and/or Optical Instruments outside of the 3 day limitation will be subject to a minimum 25% restocking fee. Used items may not be returned. Acceptance of merchandise is final only after inspection. All warranty issues and defective merchandise are handled by the manufacturer.

SHIPPING
We download orders during our regular business hours (M-F 8AM-5PM CST). Items that ship by standard UPS or FedEx service generally are delivered within 5-7 business days from the date of shipment. Some special order items or common carrier items## may require longer delivery time. Orders for multiple items may ship from more than one location. In those instances, there will not be any additional shipping charges for multiple deliveries.

AVAILABLE METHODS: Most orders are shipped via UPS or FedEx. We do offer expedited shipping on most items. Expedited orders must be received by 1:00 P.M Central Time to have the opportunity to ship out the same day. Larger items (usually over 75 lbs.) are shipped by common carrier only## and are not available for expedited shipping. Priority mail is available in instances where UPS is not feasible. International shipping is available to most countries.

FREE SHIPPING: Free shipping on pre-paid orders over $250.00 applies to items that can ship by UPS Ground## within the continental US only. For customers located in Hawaii and Alaska, shipping would be free to the closest continental US border and the customer would then be responsible for any additional shipping fees thereafter. Shipping quotes can be provided by your sales representative. International customers also get free shipping to the closest US border. This also applies to any freight forwarder companies you might use within the United States. Any additional shipping fees and import duties or taxes would be the customer's responsibility. Payment method for this type of order is wire transfer only.

##COMMON CARRIER SHIPMENTS: Larger items (over 75 lbs or on a pallet) will be shipped by common carrier (truck). Free shipping does not apply to common carrier deliveries. If the item is being shipped to a residential location, a residential delivery charge### may apply and is the responsibility of the customer. This includes an order being shipped to a "business" that is being operated from a residence. All truck ship items are "Tail-Gate Delivery Only. Customer is responsible for unloading the item(s) from the truck and transporting the item(s) into their house/business. Truck driver will not assist in off-loading items. In the event the customer does not have a loading dock or forklift, the freight company may be able to provide lift gate service#### upon request; however, additional fees will apply.

In the event a customer refuses shipment after shipping from the factory, the customer will be responsible for all freight charges to and from the shipping location and a restocking fee. In the event a customer requests to pick up a shipment at a local freight company terminal and the customer does not pick up the shipment, the customer is responsible for the cost of shipping both to and from the freight terminal and a restocking fee.

  • ###RESIDENTIAL DELIVERIES: Residential deliveries are deliveries that are made to NONCOMMERCIAL addresses regardless of the presence of a company name at that address. Only heavy weight deliveries are subject to these additional charges. To avoid these additional charges other options are available for delivery, such as shipping the item to the nearest truck terminal for pick in your area or by shipping it to an alternate address such as a work address. These charges are incurred due to the need for switching your order from a large truck to a smaller one for delivery to your home. Large trucks cannot drive onto residential streets. Please speak to your sales representative for further information and rate quotes.
  • ####LIFT GATE DELIVERIES: Lift gate trucks are specially designed trucks that have a lowering system present to assist in off-loading your item from the truck to the ground. Lift gate delivery can be arranged at an additional charge if there is no way for you to remove such a large package yourself. Please speak to your sales representative for additional information and rate quotes.
PRICE MATCH POLICY
We make every reasonable effort to "Price Match" a legitimate, Internet advertised price upon receipt of written proof that the price is available to the general public. The price match will take into account the following:
  • Shipping and handling charges
  • Sales Tax
  • Item Availability
In no way is the "Price Match" program intended to be a guarantee that we will be able to match all prices. Some companies will choose to sell a product below our cost, or at a level of profit that is below our absolute minimum. In the event that this occurs, we will notify you, the customer, that we regret we cannot match this particular price.

PRIVACY STATEMENT

Anytime you visit a site on the internet the host server temporarily records certain information about you. The address of your internet service provider (AOL,MSN,etc), which pages you visited, the time of your visit. This information is not requested by us and we cannot stop it from occurring. The server needs the information in order to transmit the pages you wish to view to your computer. We do NOT, however, keep, record, or even look at that information except in the case of credit card fraud. After a time, 30-60 days, your information scrolls off the server and is gone. This will happen at every site you visit on the internet. If you order a product on our site then the information you provide is printed by us and used to process your order. It is only kept for the period of time required by the IRS.

MAILING LISTS AND CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Any personal information, including email address, business address and/or telephone number will not be sold or distributed to any outside parties. The information provided is used exclusively by B.J. Esberner & Associates, Inc. in order to better serve our customer's needs. B.J. Esberner & Associates, Inc. uses the information that is collected from users of the site to notify customers of changes, sales and specials via email. At no time will any of this information be distributed to any outside agency for any reason. Information compiled may be used for any lawful, legitimate business purpose of B.J. Esberner & Associates, Inc.

UN-SUBSCRIPTION TO EMAIL ADS

Visitors can unsubscribe to email advertisements simply by filling out our "contact us" form and entering "remove" into the message field.
